HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-0998 - Ordinance - 01/22/1976ORDINANCE NO. 998 AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: An affidavit having been made by all of the owners of the hereinafter described territory adjoining the limits of the City of College Station, Texas, to the effect that there are no registered voters residing within the boundaries of the hereinafter described territory and that the affia nts are the sole owners of the hereinafter described territory, and THE AFORESAID affidavit having been filed with the City Secretary who has certified the same to the City Council, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council by virtue of the authority conferred by Article II, Section 6 of the Charter of the City of College Station, Texas, approved on April 4, 1972, by this ordinance does hereby receive such territory within the incorporated limits of the City of College Station, Texas, such territory being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: All that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the Crawford Burnett League of Brazos County, Texas, being a part of that 30.03 acre tract conveyed to William D. Fitch by deed recorded in Volume 323, Page 78 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the most northerly corner of the said 30.03 acre tract. THENCE S 170 18' 19" W - 896.06 feet along the northwest line of the said 30.03 acre tract; THENCE N 420 34' 17" E - 812.59 feet continuing through the said 30.03 acre tract to the most southerly corner of that tract conveyed to the Area Progress Corporation by deed recorded in Volume 286, Page 292 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas; THENCE N 470 45' 57" W - 382.46 feet along the line between the said Area Progress Corporation tract and the said William D. Fitch 30.03 acre tract to the POINT OF BEGINNING And containing 3.57 acres of land more or less. PASSED AND APPROVED this 22nd day of January, 1976. APPROVED Mayor ATTEST City Secretary
