HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-0971 - Ordinance - 07/10/1975ORDINANCE NO. 971 AN ORDINANCE REZONING THAT 0.424 ACRE TRACT ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF HOLLEMAN DRIVE ADJACENT TO AND IMMEDIATELY EAST OF THE DRIVE-IN GROCERY AT HOLLEMAN AND WELCH; REZONE FROM SINGLE-FAMILY DISTRICT, DISTRICT R-IC, to GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT, DISTRICT C-1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 10, 1975 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city limits; AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following: To rezone or change the classification of all that certain 0.424 acre tract or parcel of land, lying and being situated in the Crawford Burnett League, College Station, Texas and being a portion of the Alphonse Holik tract as described by deed recorded in Volume 90, page 512 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at an iron rod located at the intersection of the southeast right- of-way line of Holleman Drive with the northeast right-of-way line of Welch Street; THENCE N 45004'12" E along the said southeast right-of-way line of Holleman Drive for a distance of 160.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING: THENCE N 45049'02" E continuing along the southeast right-of-way line of Holleman Drive for a distance of 95.51 feet to a point for corner; THENCE S 44051'44" E for a distance of 165.95 feet to a point for corner; THENCE S 45004'12" W for a distance of 126.08 feet to a point for corner; THENCE N 34030'00" W for a distance of 170.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 0.424 acres of land, more or less from Single -Family District, R-IC, to General Commercial District, District C-1. And, it is ordained that the said change shall be effective immediately. PASSED AND APPROVED, this loth day of July,1975.
