AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS
OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS:
An affidavit having been made by all of the owners of the hereinafter
described territory adjoining the limits of the City of College
Station, Texas, to the effect that there are no registered voters
residing within the boundaries of the hereinafter described territory
and that the affiants are the sole owners of the hereinafter described
territory, and
THE AFORESAID affidavit having been filed with the City
Secretary who has certified the same to the City Council,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council by virtue of the authority
conferred by Article II, Section 6 of the Charter of the City of
College Station, Texas, approved on April 4, 1972, by this ordinance
does hereby receive such territory within the incorporated limits
of the City of College Station, Texas, such territory being more
particularly described as follows:
All that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in
the Crawford Burnett and Robert Stevenson Leagues in Brazos County,
Texas, being a part of that 649.77 acre tract conveyed to Southwood
Valley, Inc. by William D. Fitch by deed recorded in Volume 322, Page
670 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas and being more
particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the southwest line of the said
Southwood Valley, Inc. 649,77 acre tract and the present City Limits
of the City of College Station; said point being 500 feet southeast of
the southeast right-of-way line of F.M. 2818.
THENCE along the present city limits and through the said 649.77 acre
tract as follows:
N 58050158" E - 434.09 feet; N 53014144" E - 503.68 feet;
N 44057125" E - 2.15 feet; S 41018158" E-1125.00 feet;
N 74050143" E-3240.27 feet; S 41057148" E-2200.48 feet;
THENCE around the said 649.77 acre tract as follows:
S 47045157" E - 397.81 feet; S 17018119" W - 1885.70 feet;
S 41049131" W - 1533.40 feet; N 4803125" W - 4488.92 feet;
S 49025118" W - 13.15 feet; N 48010'15" W - 1986.78 feet to
the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 351.677 acres of land more or
less.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 26th day of May, 1975.
