AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 3.00 ACRE TRACT OF LAND IN THE J. E. SCOTT LEAGUE FROM
HEAVY INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT, DISTRICT M-2 TO APARTMENT BUILDING DISTRICT, DISTRICT R-3.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M.
on February 24, 1975 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city
limits,
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all that certain' 3.00 acre tract or
parcel of land lying and being situated in the J. E. Scott League, College Station,
Brazos County, Texas and being the 1.964 acre tract hereinafter called FIRST TRACT,
conveyed to E. M. Lynch by H. E. Burgess in the deed recorded in Volume 267,
page 44 and the tract of land hereinafter called SECOND TRACT, conveyed to E. M. Lynch
by H. E. Burgess in the deed recorded in Volume 267, page 47 of the Deed Records
of Brazos County, Texas and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron rod found marking the northwest corner of the abovementioned
FIRST TRACT, said iron rod being located in the northeast right-of-way line of
the I & GN Railroad (abandoned);
THENCE S 19023'46" E along the abovementioned norhteast right-of-way line for a
distance of 781.35 feet to an iron rod found for corner, said iron rod being
located at or near the southwest corner of the beforementioned SECOND TRACT:
THENCE N 71003'48" E along the south line of the abovementioned SECOND TRACT for
a distance of 160.40 feet to an iron rod found for corner, said iron rod being
located at or near the southeast corner of the said SECOND TRACT;
THENCE along the northeast lines of the beforementioned FIRST TRACT and above -
mentioned SECOND TRACT for the following calls:
N 15°26'.6" W for a distance of 265.67 feet to an iron rod found for angle point;
N 15023'30" W for a distance of 123.39 feet to an iron found for angle point;
N 27°09'48" W for a distance of 398.09 feet to an iron rod found for corner, said
iron rod being located at or near the northeast corner of the said FIRST TRACT:
THENCE S 70038'25" W along the northwest line of the abovementioned FIRST TRACT fo
a distance of 133.56 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing 3.00 acres of
land more or less from Heavy Industrial District, District M-2 to Apartment
Building District, District R-3, and it is ordained that the said change shall be
effective immediately.
