HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-0949 - Ordinance - 10/23/1974ORDINANCE NO. 949 AN ORDINANCE REZONING ALL OF A 20.00 ACRE TRACT OF LAND IN THE CRAWFORD BURNETT LEAGUE IN COLLEGE STATION, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT, DISTRICT R-lC TO APARTMENT BUILDING DISTRICT, DISTRICT R-3. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 23, 1974 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city limits: AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following: To rezone or change the classification of all of that certain 20.00 acre tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the Crawford Burnett League, College Station, Brazos County, Texas and being a portion of a 114.5 acre tract conveyed to Felix S. Kapchinski'by deed recorded in Volume 62, page 422 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at the northwest corner of a 0.50 acre tract conveyed to Frank Matous from Felix Kapchinski by deed recorded in Volume 299, Page 307 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, said point also lying in the southeast right-of-way 'line of Holleman Drive; THENCE S 67047'52" W along the southeast right-of-way line of Holleman Drive for a distance of 443.15 feet to an iron rod for the point of beginning of a curve to the left; THENCE in a southwesterly direction along said curve for an arc distance of 196.46 feet to an iron rod for corner, (Curve data: central angle = 23°17'30", property line radius = 483.30 feet, the chord bears S 56°04'44" W a distance of 195.12 feet); said point also being the north corner of the Sweetbriar Nursing Home tract; THENCE S 36003'16" E along the common line between the herein described tract and the aforesaid Sweetbriar Nursing Home tract for a distance of 1,428.77 feet to an iron rod for corner, said corner also lying in the west line of a 14.60 acre tract conveyed to James C. Smith, et al; THENCE N 48037'35" E along the common line between the herein described tract and the said Smith 14.60 acre tract for a distance of 755.59 feet to an iron rod for corner; THENCE N 47017'20" W for a distance of 991.10 feet to an iron rod for corner; THENCE N 22028'31" W for a distance of 281.11 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing 20.00 acres of land more or less from Single Family Residential District, District R-lC to Apartment Building District, District R-3. 02515 ORDINANCE NO. 949 Page 2 And it is ordained that the preliminary plat of the Kapchinskie Addition dated August, 1974 is rejected.
