AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE QUESTION OF REZONING A 1.738
ACRE TRACT OF LAND IN THE CRAWFORD BURNETT LEAGUE AT THE SOUTH CORNER OF THE
INTERSECTION OF ANDERSON STREET AND HOLLEMAN DRIVE IN COLLEGE STATION FROM SINGLE
FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT, DISTRICT R-1C TO NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT,
DISTRICT C-N.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station has been presented
a petition by the owners of the herein described tract of land to rezone the same
from Single Family Residential District, District R-lC to Neighborhood Business
District, District C-N;
THEREFORE, it is hereby ordered that the Planning and Zoning Commission of the
City of College Station shall consider the above request according to the
provisions of Section 13 A of Ordinance No. 850 and shall make recommendation
to the City Council prior to the 26th day of August, 1974; and
It is hereby ordered that a public hearing be held at City Hall in College
Station, Texas at 7:00 P.M. on August 26, 1974 on the question of rezoning all
of that certain tract of land in the City of College Station described as follows:
Being a tract of land in the Crawford Burnett League 1.738 acres out of a 12
acre tract conveyed to the A & M Consolidated ISD by deed recorded in the Brazos
County records in volume 243, page 221, with said tract fronting on Holleman
Drive 495.7 feet and fronting on Anderson Street 152.94 feet. Said tract
containing 75,735 square feet with the following description:
Beginning at a stake at the junction of Holleman and Anderson:
Thence: South 45*37' West for a distance of 495.7 feet and corner
Thence: South 44*28' East for a distance of 152.8 feet and corner
Thence North 45*07' East for a distance of 495.5 feet and corner
Thence North 44*28' West for a distance of 152.94 feet and corner at the
place of beginning from Single Family Residential District, District
R-lC to Neighborhood Business District, District C-N.
