ORDINANCE NO. 927
AN ORDINANCE REZONING ALL OF THAT 0.595 ACRE TRACT OF LAND IN THE CRAWFORD
BURNETT LEAGUE AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE
FROM APARTMENT BUILDING DISTRICT, DISTRICT R-IC, TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT,
DISTRICT C-1.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M.
on Monday, June 24, 1974 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the
city limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all of that 0.595 acre tract or parcel
of land, being a portion of Lot 1, Block 12, Southwood Addition, Section 26,
a subdivision in the City of College Station, Texas according to the plat
thereof duly recorded in Volume 310, page 687 of the Deed Records of Brazos County,
Texas, said 0.595 acre tract also being a portion of that tract conveyed to Harry
Seaback by William Fitch and being more particularly described by metes and bounds
as follows:
COMMENCING at the southeast corner of Lot 1, Block 12, of the aforementioned
Southwood Addition, Section 26, said corner also being the southwest corner of
Lot 2, Block 12 of said Addition and also lying in the northeast right-of-way
line of Farm to Market Road 2818;
THENCE S 46022'47" W along the northeast right-of-way line of said Farm to
Market Road 2818 for a distance of 511.00 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING;
THENCE N 43037'13" W for a distance of 140.00 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE S 46022'47" W for a distance of 185.00 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE S 43037'13" E for a distance of 140.00 feet to a point for corner;
said corner also lying in the northeast right-of-way line of Farm to Market Road 2818;
THENCE N 46022'47" E along the said northeast right-of-way line of Farm to Market
Road 2818 for a distance of 185.00 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing
0.595 acres of land more or less from Apartment Building District, District R-3,
to General Commercial District, District C-1.
And it is ordained that the said change shall be effective immediately.
