HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-0904 - Ordinance - 02/25/1974ORDINANCE NO. 904: AN ORDINANCE REZONING ALL OF THAT 19.411 ACRE TRACT OF LAND IN THE RICHARD CARTER LEAGUE, COLLEGE STATION, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT, DISTRICT Rl-C TO APARTMENT BUILDING DISTRICT, DISTRICT R-3. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at P.M., on Monday, February 25, 1974 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city limits; AND, WHEREAS the City Council has determined the following: To rezone or change the classification all of that 19.411 acre tract or parcel of land in the Richard Carter League, College Station, Brazos County, Texas being part of that 153.69 acre tract of land conveyed to Albert Dominik and by deed recorded in Volume 91, page 83 of the Deed Records of Brazos County and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at the intersection of the northwesterly line of State Highway 30, 120 feet wide, and the northeasterly line of Munson Drive, 70 feet wide, said point also being the most southerly corner of a 5.00 acre tract of land conveyed to the First Baptist Church of College Station by J. C. Culpepper, Sr., by deed of record in Volume 273, Page 844, of the Deed Records of Brazos, County, Texas; THENCE N 44018130" E, along the northeasterly line of Munson Drive, and the southwesterly line of the aforesaid First Baptist Church of College Station 5.00 acre tract of land, a distance of 544.5 feet to the most westerly corner of the said 5.00 acre tract of land and the PLACE OF BEGINNING of this tract of land herein described; THENCE N 45041130" E, along the northwesterly line of the said 5.00 acre tract of land a distance of 400.00 feet to,the most northerly corner of the said 5.00 acre tract of land; THENCE S 44018130" E, along the northeasterly line of the said 5.00 acre tract of land a distance of 544.40 feet to a point for corner on the northwesterly line of State Highway 30; THENCE N 45041130" E, along the northeasterly line of State Highway 30, a distance of 188.98 feet to a point for corner marking the inter- section of the southwesterly line of Rhett Butler Drive, 60 feet wide, and the northwesterly line of State Highway 30; THENCE N 44018130" W, along the southwesterly line of Rhett Butler Drive, a distance of 100.00 feet to a point marking the beginning of a curve to the right; ORDINANCE NO. 904 Page 2 THENCE in a NORTHWESTERLY direction and along the southwesterly line of Rhett Butler Drive, and following the arc of said curve having a radius of 430 feet, central angle of 33033130" a distance of 251.85 feet to a point marking the end of said curve; THENCE N 10045100" W, along the westerly line of Rhett Butler Drive, a distance of 86.45 feet to the beginning of a curve to the left; THENCE in a NORTHWESTERLY direction along the southwesterly line of Rhett Butler Drive, and following the arc of said curve, having a radius of 370.0 feet and a central angle of 33033130" a distance of 216.71 feet to the end of said curve; THENCE N 44018130" W, a distance of 179.80 feet to a point for corner on the northwesterly line of Plantation Oaks Drive, 60 feet wide. THENCE N 45041130" E, along the northwesterly line of Plantation Oaks Drive a distance of 970.59 feet to a point for corner marking the most Southerly corner of Block 24, Plantation Oaks Section One. THENCE with the southwesterly line of the aforesaid Block 24 as follows: N 53128110" W a distance of 177.89 feet N 23*00100" W a distance of 190.00 feet to a point for corner; THENCE S 45-19142, W a distance of 203.08 feet to a point for corner; THENCE S 36015100" E a distance of 54.32 feet to a point for corner; THENCE S 45019142" W a distance of 1570.76 feet to a point on the northeasterly line of Munson Drive; THENCE S 44018130" E, along the northeasterly line of Munson Drive, a distance of 537.17 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING from Single Family Residential District, District R-lC to Apartment Building District, District R-3, and it is ordained that the said change be effective immediately.
