HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-0908 - Ordinance - 03/25/1974ORDINANCE NO. 908 AN ORDINANCE REZONING CERTAIN TRACTS OF LAND IN THE CRAWFORD BURNETT LEAGUE, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, BEING PARTS OF A 657 ACRE TRACT CONVEYED TO WILLIAM D. FITCH AND A 14 ACRE TRACT CONVEYED TO AREA PROGRESS CORPORATION, THE SAID TRACTS OF LAND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE AND THE ZONE CHANGES BEING AS SPECIFIED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at P.M., on Monday, March 25, 1974 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city limits; AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following: To rezone or change the classification of those certain tracts of land in the Crawford Burnett League, Brazos County, Texas, being parts of a 657 acre tract conveyed to William D. Fitch and a 14 acre tract conveyed to Area Progress Corporation, the said tracts of land being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: TRACT 1: All t7a-t certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the Crawford Burnett League in College Station, Brazos County, Texas, being a part of that 657 acre tract conveyed to William D. Fitch by deed recorded in Volume 310, page 787 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows: Beginning in the southeast right of way line of FM 2818 at the most northerly corner of that 2.37 acre tract described in Volume 67, page 570 of the Release Records of Brazos County, Texas. Fitch by deed recorded in Volume 310, page 787 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at a concrete monument in the southeast right of way line of F.M. 2818 located S 42054153" W - 2758 feet from the centerline of State Highway No. 6.
