AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED
ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS; AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING; AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
SECTION I. On the 23rd day of July, 1973, at 7:00 p.m. o'clock, in the City Council
Chamber of the City Hall of the City of College Station, Texas, the City Council
will hold a public hearing giving all interested persons the right to appear and be
heard on the proposed annexation by the City of College Station, Texas of the
following described property, to -wit:
Being 31.054 acres out of the Jolly Jones 195.92 acre tract out of the
Crawford Burnett League, Brazos County, Texas and being more fully described as
follows:
Beginning at a Texas Highway Department monument set on the Northeast line
of FM 2154, said point of beginning also being on the present city limit line of
the City of College Station, Texas;
Thence N 480 411 42" E 878.641 with the present city limit line of the City
of College Station, Texas to a point for an angle;
Thence N 580 441 00" E 261.561 continuing with the present city limit line
�kme of the City of College Station, Texas to a point for a corner;
Thence S 250 35' 481t E 221.901 to a point set on the Northwest line of
University Park;
Thence N 45' 55t 00" E 270.001 with the Northwest line of University Park
to an iron pin set for the far North corner of University Park;
Thence S 440 33' 00" E 746.301 with the Northeast line of University Park
to an iron pin set for the far East corner of the University Park, said point
also being on the Southeast line of the Jolly Jones 195.92 acre tract;
Thence S 420 301 00" W 1331.48t with the Southeast line of University Park
and the Jolly Jones 195.92 acre tract to an iron pin set for the far South corner
of University Park and the Jolly Jones 195.92 acre tract, said point also being
on the Northeast line of FM 2154;
Thence N 440 33t 00" W 1136.72' with the Northeast line of FM 2154 to the
point of beginning and containing 31.054 acres of land more or less.
SECTION II; The Mayor of the City of College Station is hereby authorized and
directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be published once in a news-
paper having general circulation in the City and in the above described territory
not more than twenty days nor less than ten days prior to the date of such public
hearing, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act (Chapter 160, Acts
of the 58th Legislature, Regular Session, 1963; compiled as 970a, Vernonts Texas
Civil Statutes).
