AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE QUESTION OF REZONING
,r A 21.77 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LOCATED ON THE SOUTHWEST SIDE OF WELSH AVENUE
AT FM 2818 FROM DISTRICT NO. 1, FIRST DWELLING HOUSE DISTRICT TO DISTRICT NO.
3, APARTMENT HOUSE DISTRICT AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES
AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended that all land de-
scribed herein be rezoned from District No. 1, First Dwelling House District to District
No. 3, Apartment House District,
It is hereby ordered that a public hearing shall be held at the City Hall in College Station
at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, September 25, 1972, on the question of rezoning certain areas
within the city limits as follows:
All that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the Crawford Burnett
League in College Station, Brazos County, Texas, being a part of that 82.75 acre tract con-
veyed to the Area Progress Corporation by deed recorded in Volume 272, Page 442 of the
Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the northwest right -of -way line of FM 2818 and the south-
west line of Welch Boulevard;
Thence along the southwest line of Welch Boulevard as follows:
N 27 52' 06" W 51.39 feet to the P. C. of a curve to the left (R= 460 Along the arc of said
curve, the chord of which bears N 49 00' 05" W 331. 69 feet to the P. T. of said curve;
N 70 08' 04" W 415.25 feet to the P. C. of a curve to the right (R= 835.44 Along the arc
of said curve, the chord of which bears N 56 01' 15" W 407.43 feet to the P. T. of said
curve; N 41 54' 27" W 286. 28 feet to the northwest line of the said Area Progress Corpora-
tion 82. 75 acre tract;
Thence S 45 28 W 459.36 feet along the northwest line of the said Area Progress Corpora-
tion 82.75 acre tract;
Thence S 44 31 37" E 39. 76 feet;
Thence S 43 51' 25" E 209.4 feet to a fence corner;
Thence S 45 04' 24" W 209. 5 feet to a fence corner in the southwest line of the said Area
Progress Corporation 82. 75 acre tract;
Thence S 45 39' 06" E 926.36 feet along the southwest line of the said Area Progress Corpora-
tion 82. 75 acre tract to the northwest line of FM 2818;

Thence along the northwest line of FM 2818 as follows:
N 62 04' 48" E 248. 98 feet; N 61 03' 34" E 500. 29 feet; N 62 07' 54" E 199. 69 feet to
the point of beginning and containing 21. 77 acres of land more or less from District No.
1, First Dwelling House District to District No. 3, Apartment House District.
Notice of said hearing shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the
City of College Station at least three times, the first publication of which shall not be
less than 15 days prior to the date fixed for the hearing.
