ORDINANCE NO. 806
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE QUESTION OF RE-
ZONING A 0.963 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE CRAWFORD BURNETT
*4W LEAGUE, FROM DISTRICT NO. 4, FIRST BUSINESS DISTRICT, TO DISTRICT NO. 3,
APARTMENT HOUSE DISTRICT, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES
AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended that all
land described herein be rezoned from District No. 4, First Business District to District
No. 3, Apartment House District;
It is hereby ordered that a public hearing shall be held at the City Hall in College
Station, Texas at 7:00 P. M. on Monday, April 24, 1972, on the question of rezoning
certain areas within the city limits as follows:
All that certain tract or parcel of land lying or being situated in the C. Burnett
League, being a part of that land conveyed to the Area Progress Corporation by CMR
Deacon, et ux, by deed recorded in Volume 275, Page 645 of the Deed Records of
Brazos County, Texas, and being described as follows:
Commencing at an iron rod in the northwest right -of -way line of FM Road 2818 in
the Crawford Burnett League in College Station, Brazos County, Texas, N 46 22' 47" E
a distance of 1581. 94 feet from the most southerly corner of that 26. 216 acre tract con -
veyed to the Area Progress Corporation by CMR Deacon, et ux, by deed recorded in
Volume 275, Page 645 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas;
Thence N 28 49' 14" W a distance of 526.36 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING of
this tract;
Thence N 28 49' 14" W a distance of 155.29 feet;
Thence N 45 05' 03" E a distance of 562.87 feet;
Thence S 31 15' 03" W a distance of 624. 02 feet to the point of beginning and containag
0.963 acres of land more or less, from District No. 4, First Business District to District
No. 3, Apartment House District.
Notice of said hearing shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the
City of College Station at least three times, the first publication of which shall not be less
than 15 days prior to the date fixed for the hearing.
