AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO SPEED ZONES WHICH SPECIFICALLY DESIGNATES
ADDITIONAL AREAS IN THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATIN IN WHICH RATES OF
SPEED OF THIRTY (30) MILES PER HOUR OR MORE ARE AUTHORIZED; RESCINDING
ALL PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND DECLARING THAT
ATTENDANT FACTS NECESSITATE IMMEDIATE ACTION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION:
SECTION I. That any and all ordinances or parts of ordinances relating to speed zones
on State Highway 30 in the City of College Station are hereby rescinded, and the following
are additional specifically designated areas in which a rate of speed of thirty (30) miles
per hour or more is authorized.
(a) State Highway 30, for traffic movi in an easter direction, from the intersection
of State Highwa 6, for the fi st 0. 0 m1 a speed limit shall be fifty (50) miles
per hour. For next 0.40 mile h ed limit shall be sixty (60) miles per hour.
For traffic mov ng 'n a west rection beginning 1. 203 miles west of the east
city limits, for he st 0.40 ile, the speed limit shall be sixty (60) miles per
hour. For the xt 0.4 0 e the speed limit shall be fifty (50) miles per hour
to the intersection of t Highway 6.
SECTION II. WHEREAS�tpreservation of the general welfare of the public necessitates
immediate action, this nce shall be effective from and after the date of its passage
as provided by the Charter of the City of College Station.
