AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF
rw; THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council has held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P. M.
on Au@Bt 23, 1971 on the question of receiving certain territory into the city limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has heard all parties pertaining thereto, has
determined the following:
Upon compliance with Article II, Section 7, of the City Charter and applicable
laws of the State of Texas, the following territory shall be incorporated within the city
limits:
Beginning at a point in the south property line of a 6.07 acre tract out of the Crawford
Burnett League, said tract shown on a preliminary plat as Ponderosa Place, said point further
described as being S 460 00' W a distance of 100 feet from the most easterly corner of the said
6.07 acre tract and said corner also being in the west right of way line of State Highway 6,
Thence in a southeasterly direction parallel to and 100 feet from the west right of way
line of State Highway 6, a distance of 5, 280 feet to a point for a corner,
Thence in a southwesterly direction and perpendicular to the aforementioned line a
distance of 200 feet to a point for a corner,
Thence in a northwesterly direction parallel to and 300 feet from the west right of way
line of State Highway 6, a distance of approximately 5, 280 feet to a point for a corner, said
point also being located in the south property line of the 6. 07 acre tract known as Ponderosa
Place,
Thence in a northeasterly direction along the aforementioned south property line of the
Ponderosa Place tract, a distance of 200 feet to the place of beginning and containing 24.2
acres more or less.
