HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-0767 - Ordinance - 07/26/1971ORDINANCE NO. 767 AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE A 10.21 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF TEXAS AVENUE AND SOUTHWEST PARKWAY FROM DISTRICT �koo NO. 1, FIRST DWELLING HOUSE DISTRICT TO DISTRICT NO. 4, FIRST BUSINESS DISTRICT, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P. M. on July 26, 1971, on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city limits, AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following: To rezone or change the classification of a 10.21 acre tract beginng at an iron rod in the southwest line of State Highway No. 6 at the common corner of the C. S. H. & D. S. tract (80/593) and the Mary Smith Estate tract (222/613); Thence S 440 45' 17" W - 417. 06 feet along the line between the said C. S. H. & D. S. tract and the said Mary Smith Estate to an iron rod; Thence S 440 59' 56" W - 208. 36 feet continuing along the line between the said C. S. H. & D. S. tract and the said Mary Smith Estate tract to an iron rod in the north- west line of the City of College Station tract (127/350); Thence S 440 58' 19" W - 213. 0 feet along the line between the said City of College Station tract and the said Mary Smith Estate tract; Thence N 460 04' 25" W - 837.24 feet through the said Mary Smith Estate tract to the southeast line of Southwest Parkway; Thence N 430 55' 35" E - 533. 9 feet along the southeast line of Southwest Parkway to the P.C. of a curve to the right (R=1001); Thence along the arc of said curve to the right through a central angel of 900 to .the P. T. of said curve in the southwest line of State Highway No. 6; Thence S 460 04' 25" E - 538. 83 feet along the southwest line of State Highway No. 6 to the point of beginning and containing 10.21 acres of land more or less from District No. 1, First Dwelling House District to District No. 4, First Business District, and it is so ordained that said change be effective immediately.
