AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE QUESTION OF REZONING A
13.54 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE RICHARD CARTER LEAGUE FROM DISTRICT
NO. 1, FIRST DWELLING HOUSE DISTRICT TO DISTRICT NO. 4, FIRST BUSINESS
DISTRICT, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY
OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended that
all land described herein be rezoned from District No. 1, First Dwelling
House District to District No. 4, First Business District;
It is hereby ordered that a public hearing shall be held at the City
Hall in College Station, Texas, at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 26, 1971,
on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city limits as follows:
Beginning at a point, said point being the intersection of the east
right-of-way line of Tarrow Street and the south right-of-way line of
FM 60;
Thence N 520 Ol' E a distance of 439.0 feet with the south right-of-way
line of FM 60 to an iron rod for a corner;
Thence N 590 311 E a distance of 292.5 feet with the south right-of-way
line of FM 60 to an iron rod for a corner;
Thence N 690 311 E a distance of 4.8 feet with the south right-of-way
line of FM 60 to a point for corner;
Thence S 450 00' E a distance of 732.8 feet to a point for a corner;
Thence S 450 00' W a distance of 733.0 feet to a point for a corner,
said point being in the east right-of-way line of Tarrow Street;
Thence N 440 24' W a distance of 649.5 feet with the east right-of-way
line of Tarrow Street to a point for a corner;
Thence N 440 141 W a distance of 212.3 feet with the east right-of-way
line of Tarrow Street to the point of beginning and containing 13.54 acres
of land more or less, from District No. 1, First Dwelling House District to
District No. 4, First Business District.
Notice of said hearing shall be published in a newspaper of general
circulation in the City of College Station at least three times, the first
publication of which shall be not less than 15 days prior to the date fixed
for the hearing.
