Sadberry, 59, died peacefully Tuesday, October 28, 2008, in the cabin he built on Teal Prairie in Burleson County, Texas, with his loving daughter Andrea, by his side. Services are set for 1 p.m. Saturday, November 1, at Strickland Funeral Home, 530 Hwy. 36 South, Caldwell, Texas 77836. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 31, at the funeral home. He was bom October 22, 1949 in Burleson County, Texas to Horatio E. Sadberry, Sr. and Ophelia (Jones) Sadberry. He led an amazing life, but never forgot his roots. The many friends Anthony made throughout his amazing journey remained his friends until his death. He worked in ivate practice in several firms cluding Sullivan, King, Henri Sadberry, P.C., Oldenettel & dberry, P.C., Soules & Wallace, and Epstein Becker & Green In 1993, Anthony was appointed by Governor Ann Richards to serve as one of the three members of the Texas Lottery Commission, a position he held until 2001. In 2006, he was named Executive Director of the Texas Lottery where he served until his death. Anthony led an exemplary life and blessings seemed to fall in his lap.
