Sept. 24, 1983 -May 6, 2004
Jonathan Kingman Aurand, 20, resident of Wimberly.
Texas, formerly of College Station, Texas, passed away May 6,
2004. He was born September 24, 1983, in Austin. Texas, to
Benjamin and Nancy (Schuetz) Aurand.
Jonathan graduated from St. Michael's Academy in the
spring of 2003, having attended that school since the first
grade. During his years there he participated fully in the
programs of the school even with a small solo role in one of
the annual Gilbert & Sullivan operettas. Music of all kinds
was his passion. An accomplished pianist he knew the words
to just about every song you could think of For his senior
project he was responsible for an entire chapel service,
playing the hymns and anthems, doing the readings and
giving the homily.
Upon graduating he was given the Jonathan Kingman
Aurand Spirit award for"someone who is consistently
cheerful, peaceable, generous, moral, faithful, persevering and
kind:'
Jonathan is survived by his parents, Benjamin and Nancy
Aurand; sister, Elizabeth Hastings and her husband Joe of
College Station; brother Christopher Aurand of Greensboro.
North Carolina; niece, Laura Elizabeth Hastings; and nephew
Cameron Hastings both of College Station.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May
10, 2004, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in College Station.
The Reverend Saudi Mizirl will be the officiant.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to
Saint Michael's Academy, 2500 South College Ave., Bryan,
Texas, 77801. Funeral Arrangements by Thomason Funeral
