City Response to Terrorist Attacks (Kim/Dave) 3. "Blue Sky" Vision Decisions (Tom) 1. Electronic Document Process : Connie Hooks, City Secretary, and Linda Piwonka, OTIS Director, presented a plan to implement electronic mail filing and destruction procedures. They also presented a timeline for fully developing and implementing the plan along with a list of potential appointees to the Records Management Committee. 2. City Response to Terrorist Attacks : Kim Foutz, Economic Development Director, sparked a discussion of the level of preparedness for the City of College Station, if the City were to experience any sort of terrorist attack. Ralph Staplin, Emergency Management Coordinator, discussed some of the things that the City of College Station has joined with other government entities to prepare for emergency situation. Tom Brymer, City Manager, asked Mr. Staplin to return to Management Team periodically to discuss various emergency management issues. 3. “Blue Sky” Vision Decisions : Management Team was presented with an outline of the ideas brought forth during the August 29, 2001 “Blue Sky” Vision Exercise. Tuesday afternoons for the month of October were set aside for “quite time” or time that directors and managers will focus on their departments. October will serve as a trial month and the “quite time” idea will be assess later. No decisions were made concerning any other ideas arising from the “Blue Sky” Vision Exercise. However, Tom Brymer, City Manager, identified customer service as an area that should receive some attention from the Management Team.
