1. "Blue Sky" Vision Review from Aug. 29 Meeting : The team reviewed and discussed the "Blue

Sky" visioning exercise from the August 29 meeting. The topics are attached to these minutes
as a separate attachment.
2. CIP Process : The Team discussed the formulation of a capital projects needs sheet that will be
filled out by individual departments interested in putting projects on the next 5-Year CIP. The
time table for this process in the Strategic Plan will be modified by changing February dates to
March. Tom expects all members of the Mgt. Team be aware of and know what is in the Plan
once it is adopted. This item will be discussed and forms will be distributed during the
September 18 Mgt. Team meeting.
3. Other :
? Alert Notification Card : The new edition of the emergency alert notification card was
distributed.
? September 13, 2001 City Council meeting : Tom informed the Mgt. Team that during
their last meeting the Council directed staff to take bids on health insurance. No bids
will be accepted that will not allow utilization of The Med. Human Resources has
hired a consultant to assist in the bidding and to allow further research on the service
delivery of HMO's.

? EIC : The EIC will meet on Wednesday Sept 11 . Discussion should center on the
City's United Way campaign, changing the City's TMRS retirement to 7%, and
smoking in City vehicles.
? United Way : The Team discussed dates for the annual United Way hamburger

cookout and determined that it will be held on Friday, October 12 . The location will
be announced at a future meeting. The time of the Council follow-up meeting has
been rescheduled to 9:00 a.m.
