"Blue Sky" Vision Review From Aug. 29 Meeting (Glenn) 8. Other 1. Coversheet Review for Sept 13 Council Meeting : Tom Brymer, City Manager, reviewed agenda coversheets for the September 13, 2001 City Council meeting. 2. Agenda Planning Calendar : Tom and the Team reviewed the agenda planning calendar and items were added, removed and rescheduled. 3. Strategic Plan : Tom informed the Team that they need to be aware of when their respective items are scheduled on the Strategic Planning Calendar and carry out the implementation plans as scheduled. The Office of Budget and a Strategic Planning will report on the status of the plan quarterly. Any changes or completion of the plan should be directed to Brooke Brandenburg. th 4. Joint Planning Retreat : Tom reported on the joint planning retreat held on August 30 and st 31 . During the retreat the College Station City Council, Bryan City Council, and representatives from TAMU and Brazos County discussed possible joint ventures and intergovernmental cooperation. 5. CIP Process : Tom and Charles reported on the Strategic Plan's Vision Statement #1 item regarding the creation of a new 5-year CIP strategic plan. The Team discussed the time frame for compiling projects and costs. Mark Smith suggested that there be time limit for projects that will allow departments to scope, and plan them. The team decided to identify projects in September and October, review them in November and December, and tale the plan to Council in February 2002. The plan is not to be presented to advisory boards until further notice. 6. Email Policy : Connie and Olivia distributed a draft e-mail retention policy for the teams review. The Team discussed the policy and determined that effective immediately MIS will delete backup tapes older than 6 months and will implement a training program that will teach employees how to retain only the minimum amount of e-mail required by law. 7. "Blue Sky" Vision Review From Aug. 29 Meeting : Will be discussed at the September 12 Mgmt. Team meeting. 8. Other : ? Health Insurance : The team discussed the City's healthplan and the possibility of going to a fully funded plan. The item will go before the City Council during the th September 5 Special Council meeting. If the Council directs staff to go for bids then it will happen.
