Review Agenda Coversheets for February 22, 2001 Council Meeting: Glenn Brown, Assistant City Manager, reviewed coversheets and directed any required changes. 2. Strategic Planning Calendar Update: Glenn Brown, ACM, reviewed calendar with directors and items were added, removed and renamed. 3. Retreat Follow-up: Julie O'Connell, HR Director discussed the items the Mgt Team decided to follow-up on during the retreat at Balcones Springs, February 5 - 7. The team discussed hiring Carla Penny of New Logic Organizational Learning for another training session. The consensus of the Mgt Team was to forego any training to continue work on the current Strategic Plan. 4. Financial Forecast: JeffKersten, OBSP Manager, presented three financial scenarios detailing what the City's financial status would be if the economy were to decline, remain stable, or improve. The team discussed sales tax and Ad Valorem tax revenue and service implications associated with each scenario. The team also discussed the future of the City's health insurance fund and Tom Brymer, CM, asked that directors communicate to employees that in the future employees may be paying more out-of-pocket expenses for health care. 5. Process for Posting Notice of Meetings: Connie Hooks, City Secretary, distributed the process for departments to follow when posting an open/public meeting. All meetings must be posted no less than 72 hours prior to the meeting date. Postings should be submitted to the City Secretary's Office via email no less than 5 working days prior to the meeting date. If the department requesting a posting does not receive a follow-up email from the City Secretary's Office stating that the meeting has been posted then the department must contact Connie to assure that the posting was received and posted. Tom asked Directors to distribute the process to staff to assure it is being followed. 6. Other: Julie O'Connell: Distributed the final draft of the Internet Policy and asked directors to take one last look at it prior to implementation.
