Review Coversheets: Tom Brymer, City Manager, reviewed agenda coversheets. 2. Agenda Planning Calendar/Strategic Planning Calendar: Tom reviewed calendars and items were added, removed or rescheduled. ➢ Strategic Plan: Tom Brymer reviewed the strategic planning calendar and discussed milestones that were not completed on the scheduled date. He reminded directors that it is their responsibility to carry out strategic plan items on the appropriate dates. He stated that in some cases there may be justifiable reasons to break the deadline, but for the most part dates should be met. Meeting strategic plan deadlines will be a key element in performance appraisals. Jeff Kersten, Budget and Strategic Planning Manager, stated that he will work to identify which milestones and implementation plans should be extended to allow adequate time for completion. The milestone tracking calendar is on the P drive for staff to view. 3. Performance/Skills Pay Update: Julie O'Connell, HR Director, distributed handouts illustrating the current levels for exempt and non-exempt employees. She asked directors to estimate what skills increases employees should receive between January 17th and September 30th. Directors should be conservative in their estimation, but should include salary amount. This information should be submitted to HR no later than January 26th 4. Management Team Training: Julie distributed a handout listing possible topics for future management team training sessions that will be conducted quarterly. The consensus was to get training on "Effective Negotiations" in March and "Manager -Trainer" in June. The training will be scheduled for the last Wednesday of the month. 5. Other: Julie O'Connell: Distributed a draft internet policy for review by directors.
