HomeMy WebLinkAboutRonnie Holloway '66Ronnie Hallaway `66 After graduation in 1966, I attended TAMU far the summer and academic year 1966-67. Unfortunately, I partied more that I studied, so flunked out/quit in the spring of 1967. In the summer of 1967, I enlisted in the USMC. After boot camp and a couple of "A" schools, I was picked up for the Officer's Candidate program, and was commissioned a 2nd Lt in Dec 1968. and AV-8AtC Harriers, retiring from th~ Later jobs included contractor support supporting US/NATO peacekeeping e' Reconnaissance) pilot in Macedonia/k ISR in support of coalition farces objet g as a Marine Aviator at Laughlin AFB, Del OV-10s, T-2 Buckeye Navy Trainers, A-4s, as a Lieutenant Colonel in Feb 1991. ~I Aviation in Cherry Point, NC, and two years an ISR Intelligence-Surveillance- n June 2004, I deployed to Kirkuk, Iraq flying Iraq. I currently reside in Aqaba, Jordan, now managing a $30 Mil annual ISR effort in Iraq, and fly into Iraq for 5-10 days per month. My Company and flight crews have been highly successful in IED suppression, and rounding up bad guys in Iraq. Still in combat, at age 59, being regularly rocketed in Kirkuk, Mosul, Tikrit, and Tal Afar, and probably getting shot at from time to time by small arms, over flying Iraq. Fun job! Unfortunately, due to work and distance, I won't be able to attend this year's reunion, so tell 'em all we're still out here on the front tines chasing AI-Quaida. Regards, Ran Holloway Class of '66
