Richard finished Sam Houston in May of 71
and went right into the Army.
He was an infantry officer for about a year and
then went back to Houston.
Being irreplaceable, Richard was recalled in
Nov of 72 and served 12 years in the field
artillery.
He earned four Army Commendations while
assigned to Germany, Fort Sill, C)K, Fort
Polk, LA, and Turkey.
