-Enlisted in the US Marine Corps in 1966
-Basic training in San Diego, California
-Went to Viet Nam in January, 1967 as a field radio operator
- Most of my tour was spent outside of Hue at a place called Camp
Evans
- Last three months spent in support of Quang Tri airport

Presidential Unit Citation
-Rotated back to the states in February 198
-Spent the remaining time in Marines as the NGQIC of the
communications center in Barstow, GA.
-Played linebacker forthe Marine Corp football team while in Barstow
-Discharged as an E-6 in March, 1969
