Home My WebLink About2006-2934 - Ordinance - 10/12/2006 ORDINANCE NO. 2934 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 12, "UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE," SECTION 4.2, "OFFICIAL ZONING MAP," OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, BY CHANGING THE ZONING DISTRICT BOUNDARIES AFFECTING CERTAIN PROPERTIES AS DESCRIBED BELOW; DECLARING A PENALTY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: PART 1: That Chapter 12, "Unified Development Ordinance," Section 4.2, "Official Zoning Map," of the Code of Ordinances of the City of College Station, Texas, be amended as set out in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and made a part of this ordinance for all purposes. PART 2: That any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine of not less than Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) nor more than Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00). Each day such violation shall continue or be permitted to continue, shall be deemed a separate offense. Said Ordinance, being a penal ordinance, becomes effective ten (10) days after its date of passage by the City Council, as provided by Section 35 of the Charter of the City of College Station. Caruthers Survey, A.9 College Station, Brazos County, Texas Field notes of a 4.69 acre tract or parcel of land, lying and being situated in the Thomas A. Caruthers Survey, Abstract No.9, College Station, Brazos County. The City Council of said City convened in REGULAR MEETING ON THE 9TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 2006, at the designated meeting place, and the roll was called of the duly constituted officers and membets of said City Council, to wit: Ron Silvia, Ben White, John Happ, Ron Gay, Chris Scotti, Dave Ruesink, Lynn McIlhaney, Mayor Mayor Pro-Tem Councilmembers, Connie L. Hooks, City Secretary and all of said persons were present, thus constituting a quorum. Whereupon, among other business, the following was transacted at said Meeting: a written ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, GENERAL OBLIGATION REFUNDING BONDS, SERIES 2006, IN AN AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $15,000,000; AND ORDAINING OTHER MATTERS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT, INCLUDING IMMEDIATE EFFECTIVENESS was duly introduced for the consideration of said City Council and read in full. It was then duly moved and seconded that said Ordinance be passed; and, after due discussion, said motion prevailed and carried by the following vote: AYES: 7 NOES: 0 ABSTAINED: 0 2. That a true, full and correct copy of the aforesaid Ordinance described in the above and foregoing paragraph is attached to and follows this Certificate; that said Ordinance has been duly recorded in said City Council's minutes of said Meeting; that the above and foregoing paragraph is a true, full and correct excerpt from said City Council's minutes of said Meeting pertaining to the passage of said Ordinance; that the persons named in the above and foregoing paragraph are the duly chosen, qualified and acting officers and members of said City Council as indicated therein; that each of the officers and members of said City Council was duly and sufficiently notified officially and personally, in advance, of the time, place and purpose of the aforesaid Meeting, and that said Ordinance would be introduced and considered at said Meeting, and each of said officers and members consented, in advance, to the holding of said Meeting for such purpose, and that said Meeting was open to the public and public notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting was given, all as required by Chapter 551, Texas Government Code.
