ORDINANCE NO. 2872
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10, "TRAFFIC CODE", OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, BY AMENDING
CERTAIN SECTIONS AS SET OUT BELOW; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE;
DECLARING A PENALTY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS:

That Chapter 10, "Traffic Code", of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Co liege
Station, Texas, be amended as set out in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and made a
part of this ordinance for all purposes,
That if any provisions of any section of this ordinance shali be held to be void or
unconstitutional, such holding shall in no way effect the validity of the remaining
provisions or sections of this ordinance, which shali remain in fuli force and
effect.
That any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions of this
chapter shali be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof
shali be punishable by a fine of not less than One Doliar ($1.00) nor more than
Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00). Each day such violation shall continue or be
permitted to continue, shall be deemed a separate offense. Said Ordinance, being
a penal ordinance, becomes effective ten (10) days after its date of passage by the
City Council, as provided by Section 34 of the Charter of the City of College
Station.

EXHIBIT "A"
That Chapter 10, "Traffic Code", Section 2.K, "SPECIAL HAZARD INTERSECTIONS
CONTROLLED BY NO RIGHT TURN, NO LEFT TURN SIGNS", of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of College Station, Texas, is hereby amended, by adopting the
revised "Traffic Control Device Inventory - Schedule VIII", dated January 12, 2006,
attached hereto as Exhibit "B", to replace the "Traffic Control Device Inventory _
Schedule VIII", dated October 11, 1990 and by amending the paragraph as set out
hereafter to read as follows:
"The City hereby designates certain intersections to be controlled by NO RIGHT-TURN
or NO LEFT-TURN signs, The designated no right-turn and no left-turn locations for the
City of College Station are described in the Traffic Control Device Inventory _ Schedule
VIII, (dated January 12, 2006) on file in the office of the City Secretary, This schedule is
hereby adopted and incorporated in this Code as if set out at length herein. The schedule
may be amended from time-to-time by ordinance of the City Council. A current schedule
shall be maintained by the City Secretary at all times."
