ORDINANCE NO. 2848
AN ORDINANCE RENAMING SOUTHWEST PARKWAY WEST IN ITS ENTIRETY
WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF COLLEGE STATION, TO CORREGIDOR DRIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS:

There are two streets located within the City of College Station, Texas,
city limits that each are named "Southwest Parkway".
The City of College Station, Texas, strives to maintain street names that
are clearly distinguishable from others within the local 9-1-1 service area.
That the owners of property along this roadway have selected and agreed
upon the proposed name change
That the residents along this roadway may continue to receive mail at the
current address for up to one year.
That the street currently named Southwest Parkway West and located
west of Holleman Drive be renamed to Corregidor Drive to ensure that
the street is clearly distinguishable from others within the City's 9-1-1
service area.
That this proposed street renaming meets the guidelines of the public
facilities naming policy.
That this ordinance shall become effective ten (10) days after the date of
passage by the City Council, as provided by Section 34 of the Charter of
the City of College Station.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this twenty-second day of November 2005.
