' The following is from Regina: liMy Mom and her sisters wal.ked qn\ the railroa tracks to get to school. Thek father was a section foreman who with his family lilved in a section house near the tracks. They housed railroad workers c;md cqoked for: them. Their father had to make sure the tracks were safe after rains. My mother told me that he would have to go out with a lantern during a storm to make ~ure the tracks were not damaged or flooded. As a little girl, she would go with her mother on a hand car into Bryan to conduct any business or shopping and to church. My mothers fathers name was Josep~ PARADOWSKI and'her moth was Michalina GORCZYSKI PARADOWSKI. They were both from Poland but all th . children were born here."
