JONES SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 148, IN THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING THE REMAINDER OF A 3.39 ACRE TRACT DESCRIBED IN VOLUME 384, PAGE 456, DEED RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM A-O AGRICULTURE-OPEN SPACE TO M-1 PLANNED INDUSTRIAL. WHEREAS, on December 12, 1996, the City Counc'fl of the City of College Station convened and, pursuant to notices prescribed by law, held a public hearing with regard to the application for the rezoning of a 2.4483 acre tract of land located in the J. W. Jones Survey, Abstract No. 148, in the City of College Station, Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows: Bein~ a 2.4483 acro tract of land, more or less, being the remainder of a 3.39 acre tract out of the J.W. Jo~es Survey, Abstract 148, described in Volume 384, Page 456, Deed Records; Sav~ & Except .9417 acres conveyed in Volume 870, Page 748, Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas. WHEREAS, the above-described property is currently zoned A-O Agriculture-Open Space and the current use is vacant building; WHEREAS, the owner of the above-described property, the City of College Station, has initiated the rezoning of the above-described property to M-1 Planned Industrial; WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas, heard evidence that the rezoning will not result in any conflict with surrounding uses; WHEREAS, the proposed zoning hensive Plan; City Council of the City of College Station, Texas, heard evidence that the change is in accordance with the Comprehensive Plan and proposed Compre- WHEREAS, the proposed zoning and City Council of the City of College Station, Texas, heard evidence that the change is in accordance with Council's employment/prosperity ends statement; WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas, heard evidence that the proposed zoning change will further economic development and growth; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, that the 2.4483 a~re tract described above is rezoned to M-1 Planned Industrial, effective immediately. PASSED and APPROVED this 12th day of December, 1996.
