HomeMy WebLinkAbout1998-2305 - Ordinance - 02/26/1998ORDINANCE NO. 2305 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10, SECTION 2D, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, BY AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS AS SET OUT BELOW; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND DECLARING A PENALTY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: PART 1: That Chapter 10, Section 2D, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of College Station, Texas, be amended as set out in Exhibit "A', attached hereto and made a part of this ordinance for all purposes. PART 2: That if any provisions of any section of this ordinance shall be held to be void or unconstitutional, such holding shall in no way effect the validity of the remaining provisions or sections of this ordinance, which shall remain in full force and effect. PART 3: That any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine of not less than Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) nor more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00). Each day such violation shall continue or be permitted to continue, shall be deemed a separate offense. Said Ordinance, being a penal ordinance, becomes effective ten (10) days after its publication in the newspaper, as provided by Section 35 of the Charter of the City of College Station. SPECIAL HAZARD INTERSECTIONS CONTROLLED BY STOP SIGNS The City hereby designates certain special hazard intersections to be controlled by stop signs. The designated special hazard intersections for the City of College Station to be controlled by stop signs are described in Traffic Control Device Inventory - Schedule III (dated August 2, 1988, as amended) on file in the office of the City Secretary. This schedule is hereby adopted and incorporated in this Code as if set out at length herein and is amended by adding stop signs at the following special hazard intersections: 1. Alpine Circle at Anderson Street. 2. Mossglenn Circle at Anderson Street. 3. Cloverdale Circle at Anderson Street. 4. Antone Court at Anderson Street. 5. Clement Court at Anderson Street. 6. Cedar Run at Anderson Street 7. Oakdale Circle at Anderson Street. 8. Rock Praide Road at Wellbom Road. 9. Edelweiss at Rock Prairie Road. 10. Edelweiss at Rock Prairie Road. 11. Decatur Drive at Barron Road. 12. Shire Drive at Rock Prairie Road. 13. Song Sparrow at Hawk Owl Cove. 14. Blue Jay Court at Cardinal Lane. 15. Parrot Cove at Cardinal Lane. 16. Dove Trail at Cardinal Lane. 17. Robin Trail at Cardinal Lane. 18. Mortier Drive at Victoria Avenue. 19. Maryem Street at Luther Street. 20. Suffolk Avenue at Pershing Drive 21.
