AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 7, "HEALTH AND SANITATION", OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, BY
AMENDING SECTION 9," TOBACCO PRODUCTS AND SMOKING'~ AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS:
PART 1:
That Chapter 7, Section 9, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of College
Station, Texas, be and is hereby amended to read as set out in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto.
PART 2.
That said ordinance shall become effective immediately after its passage by the
City Council.

EXHIBIT "A"
That Subsection B, "Offense; Penalty" is amended by deleting the following subprovision "a" in
subparagraph (2) which reads as follows:
"a
in a situation in which the person is present at an event in which an entire
room or hall is used for a private social function and seating arrangements
are under the control of the sponsor of the function;"
That no other changes are made to Section 9. All other provisions in Section 9 shall remain in full
force and eff'ect Subprovision (a) shall be reserved for future use and the other subprovisions
shall not be renumbered.
