Mrs. Ruth Mogford was a local artist with exhibits in Waco and San Antonio and taught art classes in College Station.

Pat Mogford runs dress company on Mogford ranch. Nita and Manning Smith, well known in square dance circles all over the country, have helped Pat to market the outfits at square dance
conventions.

Professor Mogford, internationally known for his cotton research and teaching, has retired after 34 years of service in the department of agronomy, Texas A&M College.
Mogford’s cotton studies have carried him to many parts of the world. He has studied the cotton breeding programs in Egypt, Peru and all of the southern states of the US and has visited
in fiber laboratories and marketing, spinning and weaving research centers in many parts of the world.

The current owner, Patricia Lynn Cleere purchased the home on May 17, 1978 and has lived there continuously for the last 43 years. Her daughter, Roxane is pictured in the Eagle article.
