COUNTY OF
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Texas Office of Traffic Safety/State Department
of Highways and Public Transportation and the Commissioners Court
of Brazos County, Texas have come before the College Station
City Council asking that the City join with them in a program to
promote and improve traffic safety on the City's streets, and;
WHEREAS, the Texas Office of Traffic Safety/State Department
of Highways and Public Transportation and the Commissioners Court
of Brazos County, Texas have ascertained that there is a
need to develop and initiate a traffic engineering program for traffic
safety and control, and; I
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas
is in agreement with the Texas Office of Traffic Safety/State Depart-
ment of Highways and Public Transportation and the Commissioners
Court of Brazos County, Texas that development and imple-
mentation of a traffic engineering program would be beneficial and
an improvement of the safety of the City's streets for its citizens, and;
WHEREAS, the City of Colleqe Station will implement any and all
~commendations as noted in the traffic engineering plan within the
.inancial capability of the City of Colleqe Station , and;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of College Station
agrees to join with the State Office of Traffic Safety/State Departmen't
of Highways and Public Transportation and the Commissioners Court of
Brazos County, Texas in the development and implementation
of a traffic engineering plan which will enhance and promote the safety
of all citizens on City streets.
RESOLVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of Septembe~ , 197 7 .
