City of College Station — Economic Development & Tourism
Program Initiation
• Your participation in the Community Service Worker (CSW) Program begins upon
assignment by the Municipal Judge and Court.
• Prior to beginning service, you must:
• Review the Safety Requirements and Program Rules.
• Sign the City of College Station Release and Indemnification for Community
Service Program.
Communitv Service Schedule
Community service shifts are scheduled in three-hour blocks. You must complete the
assigned task(s) to receive credit for your hours.
• Evening Shifts:
• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 6:00 PM — 9:00 PM (two slots/day).
• Morning Shifts:
• Tuesday through Friday: 8:00 AM — 11:00 AM (two slots/day).
Please plan your schedule accordingly to avoid conflicts with work or academic obligations.
Reportinq Location
• College Main Parking Garage
309 College Main, College Station, TX 77840
• Office is located in the northeast corner of the garage.
Parking Instructions:
• Pull up to the gate and press for a ticket. No payment is required at the end of your
shift.
• Upon completion of your shift, return of all issued equipment, staff will release you from
the garage.
Check -In Requirements
When reporting for your first shift, you must present:
• A valid Driver's License or Student ID.
• Your Community Service Verification Form.
You will be assigned tasks and provided with necessary equipment and a safety vest. Upon
completing each task, return to the office for further instructions.
Conduct and Expectations
• Cell phone use is strictly prohibited during work hours, except in emergencies.
Excessive use may result in loss of credited hours.
• Your work will be inspected to ensure it meets program standards.
• Do not report for community service unless you are scheduled.
Attendance Policv
• Only one cancellation is permitted.
• More than one will result in removal from the program.
• Arriving more than 15 minutes late will be considered a no-show.
• Two no-shows will require you to return to court and appear before the judge.
If you are experiencing symptoms of illness (e.g., fever, sore throat, loss of taste/smell), do not
report. Seek medical attention and notify the appropriate parties.
Program Completion
Once all assigned hours are completed:
• Your Community Service Worker Verification Form will be returned to you.
• It is your responsibility to submit this form and any additional required documentation to
the College Station Municipal Court.
