THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, THE CITY OF WIXON VALLEY, TEXAS, AND THE
CITY OF BRYAN, TEXAS AFFIR)~TIVELY JOINING IN THE BRAZOS COUNTY EMERGENCY
COMMUNICATIONS DISTRICT 9-1-1; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Constitution and Laws of the State of Texas provide for inter-
local governmental agreements and actions to benefit the appropriate citizens;
and
WHEREAS, the voters of Brazos County have approved the establishment of
the Brazos County Emergency Communications District in accordance with Article
1432e of the laws of the State of Texas and by election held November 3, 1987;
and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of said District have confirmed the estab-
lishment of such District and set the emergency service fee by proper order
entered and filed December 1, 1987;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WIXON VALLEY, TEXAS, AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BRYAN,
TEXAS THAT:
The respective county and cities individually and jointly hereby agree to
be and are members of the Brazos County Emergency Communications District
9-1-1 as provided for by State law.
This Resolution shall be effective December 1, 1987 for the governmental
units adopting and passing it as reflected below.
