HomeMy WebLinkAbout19900221RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE PROVISIONS OF STATE HIGHWAY AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION MINUTE ORDER THE STATE OF TEXAS CITY OF COLLEGE STATION COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS February 21, 1990 MOTION was made by Fred Brown and seconded by Dick Birdwell that the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas, accept the provisions contained in Minute Order No. 89665 passed by the State Highway and Public Transportation Commission on December 14, 1989, for the improvement by the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation on the roads described below: Extending the Wellborn and Finfeather Road Projects and the lowering of the Southern Pacific Railroad from its present terminus North of FM 60 to a point north of Villa Maria. The effect of accepting this Minute Order will place the existing Wellborn Road (proposed northbound lanes) and the proposed southbound lanes west of the Southern Pacific Railroad on the State Highway System from the north City Limits of College Station to FM 60, a distance of approximately 0.4 miles subject to an automatic reverter in the event that any use other than as a highway providing public access is made. VOTE on the motion was as follows: Fred Brown Yes Vernon Schneider Yes Lynn McIlhaney Yes Dick Birdwell Yes Jim Gardner Yes Larry Ringer Yes Dick Haddox Yes WHEREUPON the motion was declared carried.
