Historic Preservation Committee
Monday, September 11, 2017 – 4:00 pm
Municipal Court

The City Council may or may not attend the Historic Preservation Committee Regular Meeting.

1. Called to order and announced a Quorum at 4 p.m.
2. Anat Geva requested absences and it was approved.
3. The Historic Preservation Committee voted unanimously to approve the August minutes.
4. No visitors were present.
5. A few final changes are being made to the Historic Home Tour Brochure and a final copy should be
provided at the October meeting.
6. No new info on the College Station History Book has been received.
No Historic Marker applications were received.
Brooke is working on the Tom Turbiville interviews.
The HPC Committee is working on getting Exploring History Lunch Lecture speakers for 2018, Don
House and Felice House have switched dates
Brooke stated that she is still working on cleaning up and organizing Project Hold. She is making it
where things are lab eled and more user fr iendly.
7. Kelly Kelbly had nothing to update the committee on.
8. On September 13th at 5:30 p.m. the Mexican War Memorial Statue will be dedicated at
Veteran’s Park and November 10th is the Veteran’s Day Ceremony also at Veteran’s Park.
Booneville Day’s is October 14th at the Brazos Center.
9. Future agenda item. The committee will work on a commendation letter for Parks and
Recreation staff member Marci Rodgers, honoring her hard work with the community and
senior programming. Once the letter is complete they will present it at a future council.
