Update on the Bob and Wanda Meyers Senior and Community Center from Kelly Kelby, Assistant Director of Parks & Recreation V. Remarks and possible discussion by Chairman Mickey Stokes VI. Presentation, possible action and discussion on Senior Services Coordinator Report regarding current and upcoming programs and events • Oct. 3: Indoor Walking Group led by Susan Lehr on Wednesdays 9-9:30 a.m. Cancelled due to no participation • September 8: Saturday Senior Social at Southwood Community Center from 1-4 p.m. The center will be open for seniors that want to visit, play games, socialize or watch TV with friends. Please join us in the meeting room and support this new program. We had 18 on Sept. 8th & 15th • October 16: TAMU AgriLife Extension Service offers a nutrition education class on the 3`d Tues on the month at The Lincoln Center from 10-11 a.m. • October 4: 2-4 p.m. Basic Jewelry Making by Linda Fisher — BYOB "Bring Your Own Beads" • October 17: Exploring History Luncheon — "Economic Development of Brazos County " by Steven Aldrich • October 30: Potluck & Pizza Social with music by the Jam Session Players • October 25: Summer Dance 7-9 p.m. • October 25: Fall Fest @ American Pavilion from 5-7 p.m. VII.
