As you know, the City of College Station, Texas (the "City") consented to the creation of the District in City Council Resolution No. 07-09-15-02 (the "Resolution"). Pursuant to Section 7(b) of the Resolution, the District shall send a copy of the order or other ation setting an ad valorem tax rate to the City Secretary and the City Manager within thirty (30) days after the District's adoption of the rate. The Board convened in a special session, open to the public, on February 15, 2018, at a regular meeting place thereof, (the "Meeting") and the roll was called of the duly constituted officers and members of the Board, to-wit: Uri Geva, President Hays Glover, Vice President Kamal Ariss, Assistant Vice President Jonathan Stark, Secretary Randall G. Rother, Assistant Secretary all of said members of the Board were present, thus constituting a quorum. WHEREUPON, among other business, an ORDER LEVYING TAXES the ("Order") was introduced for the consideration of the Board. (s; ) dp` % S • = ,a • 4>> .......... 478678-2 ORDER LEVYING TAXES WHEREAS, Rock Prairie Management District No. 2 (the "District") is authorized to levy a maintenance tax not to exceed $1.00 per each $100 of assessed valuation within the District in order to pay operation, maintenance and administrative expenses; and WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Board of Directors of the District to fix a specific rate of tax to be levied for the tax year 2017, based on the District's tax rolls for 2017, which have been prepared and certified by the Brazos Central Appraisal District. Now, Therefore; BE IT ORDERED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF ROCK PRAIRIE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT NO. 2 THAT: Section 1: There is hereby levied an ad valorem maintenance tax of$0.50 on each $100 of assessed valuation of taxable property within the District for the tax year 2017, for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of operation, maintenance and administrative expenses of the District and other purposes as allowed by law. Section 2: The District's tax assessor-collector is hereby authorized to collect the taxes of the District. Section 3: The taxes levied hereby shall become due and payable upon the receipt of the tax bill unless otherwise specifically provided by law and shall be paid on or before the 31st day of March, 2018. All taxes not paid before April 1, 2018, shall become delinquent on that date, and there shall be added thereto such penalties, interest, court costs, expenses of foreclosure sales, attorneys' fees and other expenses as are provided by law.
