On the 8th of February, 1978, the Library Board of the City of Bryan, Texas convened
in regular session in the regular meeting place in the Reference Room located in the
Library Building at 5 p.m. with the following members present.

110 ITEM I: The minutes of the January meeting were approved as written.
ITEM 2: Statistics were examined. Mrs. Pringle will examine the method of
recording statistics and will devise a clearer monthly accounting
record to be presented to the Board.
ITEM 3: Under Standing Committees, Mr. Bryan presented his plans for a party
honoring Mrs. Hazel Richardson. The date was set for Tuesday, March
28, 1978 at the Briarcrest Country Club.
ITEM 4: Under old business, the Nominating Committee gave its report but no action
will be taken until the March Board meeting, in accordance with the Bryan
City Code.
ITEM 5: Approval on the annual report was delayed until the March meeting.
ITEM 6: Under new business, Mrs. Pringle discussed the current state of the budget. The
librarian will be trying to discover methods by which we can save money
through other subscription plans.
ITEM 7: Mr. Bryan raised the question of the library's insurance policy and
directed the librarian to find a copy of this policy and to determine its
current status.
ITEM 8: The Texas Library Association's Legislative happening which will be held on
April 2, 1978 at Bryan Public Library, was explained to the Board and some
discussion on this followed.
The meeting adjourned at 6:10 p.m.
