It is the responsibility of each Board member to notify the library if unable to attend 1. Call to Order 2. Roll Call of members 3. Recognition of visitors 4. Previous minutes 5. Please try to contact the above person at least 48 hours before the scheduled time of the meeting so that your request may be fulfilled. s •' BRYAN+ COLLEGE STATION PUBLIC LIBRARY SYSTEM PROPOSED POLICY FOR EXHIBIT SPACES AND BULLETIN BOARDS May,2002 The Bryan+College Station Public Library System offers free use of the library's exhibit spaces and bulletin boards. The Library exhibit spaces are available to organizations engaged in educational, cultural, intellectual or charitable activities. The Bryan+ College Station Library System endorses the policies set forth in the Library Bill of Rights: Article I: Materials should not be excluded because of the origin, background, or views of those contributing to their creation. Article II : Materials should not be proscribed or removed because of partisan or doctrinal disapproval. Article VI maintains that exhibit space should be made available "on an equitable basis, regardless of the beliefs or affiliations of individuals or groups requesting their use." • Criteria for the exhibit spaces and the bulletin board are listed below: Groups within the community served by the library are eligible to request use of the exhibit spaces for a period of one month .Display materials should fit inside the display case. The frequency with which material may be posted for the same group is 18 months. Those who object to the content of any exhibit held at the library may submit their complaint and/or their own exhibit proposal to be judged according to the policies established by the library. The Bryan+College Station Library does not endorse the viewpoints of those whose works are represented in our collection, nor does the library endorse the beliefs of viewpoints of topics that may be the subject of library exhibits.
