OF THE BRYAN LIBRARY BOARD
411 JAN. 18, 1994
1 . On the 18th of Jan. 1994. the Library Board of the City of Bryan, Texas
convened in a regular session at the Bryan Public Library at 5: 20 p .m.
The following members were present:

Also present was Mrs. Clara B. Mounce, City Librarian, and Mrs . Laura Mills ,
secretary. Librarians present were Ms . Angela Alford, Ms . Kathleen Dill , Mrs .
Ann Moore, and Mrs . Nan Ross .
3. Visitors were Michael Collins and Michelle Lavigne of Water Services . A
proposed Xeriscape project for the Carnegie Library grounds was presented.
Donations to this project require a tax exempt status . After the presentation
a motion was made by Dr . David that the Friends of the Library be asked to
hold the money for the landscaping project.
4 . The minutes were approved as mailed.
4105 . The statistics for November and December were provided in the mailout.
6 . There were no committee reports .
7 . In the librarian ' s report, Mrs . Mounce stated that the recarpeting project
in the law library had been accomplished by a team effort . Other librarians
reported that activities were usual .
8 . In unfinished business, the status of the application for a grant from the
Department of Transportation has not been announced.
9 A. A review of the annual report showed a 3 . 81% decrease in circulation .
B . Starting time for Library Board meetings were discussed and it was a
consensus that it remain 5 : 15 p.m.
C. Board members toured the law library and auditorium to view the newly
carpeted areas .
