MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING
OF THE BRYAN LIBRARY BOARD
September 15, 1992
1 . On the 15th of September , 1992 the Library Board of the City of Bryan,
Texas convened in a regular session in Bryan Library auditorium at 5 : 00 p.m.
and the following members were present :

Also present were Mrs . Clara B . Mounce, City Librarian; Ms . Alice Nixon,
Associate City Librarian, Mrs . Laura Mills , Secretary, Mrs . Nan Ross, Ms .
Lynette Beevers and Ms . Angela Alford.
3 . Visitors present were Dr . Dale Knobel and Mrs . Jo Ann Powell .
. The minutes of the July 21 , 1992 meeting were approved.
Ilk . The statistics for Julyand August, 1992 , were provided in the mailout .

6 . There was no committee report from the Historic Preservation ad hoc
committee .
7 . The Librarian ' s report included comments about the Carnegie Restoration
project .
8 . After a brief meeting at the library auditorium, the Library Board walked
over to the Carnegie Library . Mrs . - Jo Ann Powell reported on the proposals
that have been received from various architectural groups for the restoration
of the Carnegie as a local history and genealogy center .
9 . The group- toured the Carnegie Library Building, noted condition and
possibilities and made general comments .
10 . Tyrer., were no requests for items for the agenda.
. 11 . The meeting adjo rued at 6 : 00 p .m. -
