OF THE BRYAN LIBRARY BOARD
" March 17 , 1992
41101 . On the 17th of March, 1992, the Library Board of the City of Bryan, Texas
convened in a regular session in Bryan Library auditorium at 5: 00 p.m. and the
following members were present:

Also present were Mrs . Clara B. Mounce, City Librarian; Ms . Alice Nixon,
Associate City Librarian.
3. There were no visitors.
4 . The minutes of the Jan. 21 , 1992 meeting were approved .
5 . The statistics for January and February, 1992, were provided in the
mailout .
6 . Celeste Hurley reported on a meeting she attended of the Bryan Historic
Landmark Commission. Randy Haynes and Nancy Volkman, members of the
commission, communicate with the Library Board committee made up of Mrs .
Hurley and Mrs . Bienski about restoration of the Carnegie Library.
7 . In the librarian ' s report, Mrs. Mounce announced the promotion of
Reference Librarian Angela Alford to the Branch Librarian position, effective
March 1 . Ms. Alford came to the Bryan Library from the Dallas Public Library
Branch System. She was an assistant Branch manager in that area.
8 . A. A discussion of a presentation on March 24 for action by City Council
on the Library Board' s resolution to designate Carnegie as a Branch , as well
as funding for a master plan was held by board members . Members were urged to
be in attendance.
9 . There was no new business .
10 . There were no requests for the agenda.
11 . The me ting adjourned at 6 : 00 p.m.
