Historic Preservation Committee

The City Council may or may not attend the Historic Preservation Committee Regular Meeting

1. Called to order and announced a Quorum @ 4 pm.
2. Michael Hardy requested an absence and it was approved by the committee.
3. The committee voted unanimously to approve the minutes.
4. Jerry Cooper attended the meeting as a visitor.
5. Katherine Edwards provided the rough draft for the driving tour of Historic Homes. City of College
Station's Legal department will be contacted to make sure it will be allowed to list these homes or if
we need to get written approval from the owners to be listed in the brochure.
6. The American Mile bricks are in and will be installed by the crews by the end of the year.
The Committee has not received any Historic Marker applications.
No College Station Oral History Interviews to report.
Jerry Cooper passed out speaker schedule for 2017 Lunch Lecture.
No Website discussion.
Brooke Linsenbardt is working on updating Project Hold so that it is more user friendly for the
public and less busy. She is also uploading pictures that were in storage.
