Historic Preservation Committee
Monday, September 12,2016—4:00 pm
The City Council may or may not attend the Historic Preservation Committee Regular Meeting

1. Called to order and announced a Quorum @ 4 pm.
2. No absence requests received.
3. The committee voted unanimously to approve the minutes.
4. No visitors were present.
5. Katherine Edwards did extensive work identifying a list of houses that would possibly be a good fit
for the historic home tour. She will come up with a rough draft and pictures for the next HPC meeting.
6. The American Mile bricks are on order and will be installed by the Parks and Recreation department.
The Committee voted unanimously to not approve a brick request honoring Dr. Bass.
The Committee has booked 4 speakers for 2017 Exploring History Lunch Lecture.
Brooke Linsenbardt is the new Historical Records Archivist. She has been busy organizing Project
Hold and researching possible grants that the city could receive. Also she is working on expanding
the Oral History Project.
7. David had nothing to report.
8. Booneville Days is coming up in October and volunteers are needed.
9. No items for the agenda
10. Gerald brought a horticultural magazine from 1956 to pass around.
11. The meeting was adjourned at 5:10.
