Historic Preservation Committee

The City Council may or may not attend the Historic Preservation Committee Regular Meeting

1. Called to order and announced a Quorum @ 4 pm.
2. No absent request received.
3. The committee voted unanimously to approve the minutes.
4. Jerry Cooper and Tina Evans attended the meeting as visitors.
5. The committee discussed it goals for 2016, possibly to get involved with other historic groups,
continue to pass out the historic magazines to waiting rooms and possibly to plan a historic home tour
during a weekend.
6. An email from Gabby Salazar was distributed during the meeting which gave the update regarding
the American Mile.
No new Historic Marker applications were received.
No Oral History interviews to report, and this line item will be left off future agendas until further
notice.
The price for the Lunch Lecture will now be $7 and Marilyn Randal volunteered to help during
check in.
The City is moving along with the update to the City Website, our goal is to make the Historical
Website user friendly and compatible with a mobile device.
7. No report from David Schmitz.
8. Booneville Days in October and The Civil War reenactment.
9. None
10. Lou Hodges brought some items.
