I. Called to order and announced a Quorum @ 4 pm.
2. Joel Mathai,Annette Naylor and Edelmiro Escamilla requested absences,committee approved request.
3. The committee voted unanimously to approve the minutes.
4. Mike Neu from the City of College Station PR department was here to discuss the website. He
suggested that HPC get the outline first and then the content. The committee would like to see on the
main menu the decades in chronological order. The purpose of the website it to be informative to the
general public but also easy to navigate. The committee also needs to decide what content and pictures
will go in each decade starting from l 800s to present. The possible website would be estx.gov/history.
5. Lou Hodges will make the annual report to Council in January, he will talk about Historical
Preservation Luncheons,progress on American Mile,the historical literature in waiting rooms and the
progression of the web page.
6. Gabby Salazar will work with Jerry Cooper to finalize the project and get the bricks ordered.
No new Historic Marker applications. Look at getting information about program on
blog/brochure/news with Jay.
Nothing to report on the Oral History Transcription Project.
No Oral History interviews to report.
The Committee asked if anyone knew of 2 volunteers that would be available to attend each lunch
lecture and help with check in.
Jared stated that Utilities had scrapbooks that will be scanned into Project Hold, he also stated that
his intern has transcribed everything from the past 2 years.
